Regional Civic Week – Citizen Voice in Election Process

Regional Civic Week – Citizen Voice in Election Process

From September 19 to 23, Regional Civil Society Network (R-CSN), Network of Civic Engagement Centers and the Georgian Association of the Regional Broadcasters with support from EWMI ACCESS launch the Civic Engagement Week – Citizen Voice in Election Process in 10 regions of Georgia.

The Civic Week focuses on the key regional issues and aims to (a) engage citizens in identifying the key problems in the regions in partnership with the regional CSOs and (b) bring these issues to the attention of the political parties and candidates participating in the October Parliamentary elections. For this purpose the Centers for Civic Engagement will host open public debates with participation of the political parties (majoritarian MP candidates), local CSOs, media and interested citizens. The debates will be held in a Q&A format where attendees will be able to ask questions and get answers from the MP candidates on issues of their concern.
