Analyzing the State of the Intercity Transportation in Georgia
On September 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at Tbilisi Marriott hotel (12, Rustaveli Ave. 30), EWMI ACCESS Grantees – CRRC Georgia and Partnership for Road Safety will host a presentation of the interim findings of the research “Safe Transportation Opportunities for Passengers”.
Purpose of the research is to analyze existing legislative framework related to intercity transportation in Georgia, rights and responsibilities of various state agencies in this regard, and propose concrete recommendations to relevant stakeholders for increasing transport safety in the country. The organizers will present two research reports: 1) Intercity Transport in Georgia: views of drivers, passengers and representatives of the bus stations; 2) Analysis of Institutional and Legislative Framework Concerning Intercity Transportation in Georgia. The research is funded by EWMI ACCESS.
Along with the main presenters, the representative of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia will present Georgia’s transport safety strategy.
