Supporting Parent’s Engagement in School Processes

The CSO Parents for Education, with the support of the USAID Civil Society Engagement Program, is launching a new project to inform parents of students about their rights and involve them in school life.

Within the framework of the project, parents will get familiar with the possibilities of participating in school life, understand their responsibility in creating a child-oriented school environment, and put new skills into practice. Parents will also be able to receive consultations from psychologists on how to help their children learn and develop into independent individuals.

As part of the project, online  courses will be created both for parents and teachers. Members of the boards of trustees will be trained in effective school management and participation, and schools will receive support in the strategic planning of parents’ involvement in school management processes.

Along with the members of the parents’ association, parents from Tbilisi, Shida Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Kevmo Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Imereti, Adjara, and Samegrelo will be able to participate in the project. The project will also engage school administration officials and teachers from the above-listed regions.
