Network of Centers for Civic Engagement Joins the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign
The Network of Centers for Civic Engagement (NCCE) has joined the international campaign – 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence and planned various events in 10 cities of Georgia from November 26 to December 10. The campaign aims to raise awareness on gender-based violence among wider society and especially, youth. To this end, the Centers for Civic Engagement (CCEs) hold miscellaneous events, such as:
• Screening of films and follow-up discussions on the topic of gender equality and gender-based violence; an essay competition and exhibition of paintings for school students. The meetings are led by representatives of local authorities, the Office of Public Defender and CSOs. During the campaign, Centers for Civic Engagement are symbolically decorated in orange which is an official color of the global campaign against gender-based violence.
