Innovation and Challenge Grants Program
- Initiative Group – Khulo and its Perspectives – engaging the population in the review and discussion of the Master Plan of the Goderdzi Pass of the Khulo Municipality, and the detailed plans of the three territories falling within this area – Goderdzi Pass, Shkernali, and Beshumi resort. Project duration: 24 July, 2024 – 24 January, 2025. Project budget: 9,900 $
- Democratic Institutions Research Center (Platform Komentari) – research on the scale and causes of over-indebtedness and evictions in Georgia; development of a systemic vision on solutions based on the research findings. Project duration: 8 August, 2024 – 31 January, 2025. Project budget: 29,920 $.
- Perky Octopus Atelier– raising public awareness about the importance of children’s books during preschool years and to foster a demand for increased availability of high-quality, age-appropriate books in preschool institutions, especially in regions densely populated by ethnic minorities. Project duration: 2 September, 2024 – 2 April, 2025. Project budget: 18,740 $.
- Initiative Group – Youth for Access to Clean Water– helping improve supply of quality drinking water to the villages in the Gori municipality along the so-called dividing line, and to strengthen the civic engagement of local youth. Project duration: 2 September, 2024 – 2 January, 2025. Project budget: 10,755 $.
- Georgian Down Syndrome Association – advocating for introduction of personal assistant services for people with disabilities throughout Georgia. Project duration: 15 August, 2024 – 15 April, 2025. Project budget: 30,000 $.
- Academy of the Future – expanding a network that brings together young people with passion for bringing change within their cities, universities, or communities. The project will promote civic engagement though creative ways. Project duration: 12 August, 2024 – 12 April, 2025. Project budget: 29,905.80 $
- Initiative Group – Green Development Group Kera – increasing access to irrigation water for the population of Marneuli Municipality. Project duration: 2 September, 2024 – 2 March, 2025. Project budget: 9,997 $.
- Union of Education Workers of Georgia – supporting and strengthening teachers, who will, in turn, strengthen the community of educators and become involved in developing policies related to salaries, pensions, healthcare, and other significant issues in the education sector. Project duration: 30 August, 2024 – 30 June, 2025. Project budget: 17,550 $.
- Women’s Organization in Support of People with Disabilities – creating a support mechanism for persons with disabilities (PwD) living in the Tsalka Municipality, with a particular focus on children with disabilities. The project involves awareness-raising and engagement, provision of necessary services, and advocacy. Project duration: 25 August, 2024 – 25 June, 2025. Project budget: 19,335 $.
- Initiative Group – Pen Georgia – helping rethink the Soviet past through comprehensive examination of historical narratives and critical analysis of the modern-day disinformation campaigns. Project duration: 2 September, 2024 – 2 June, 2025. Project budget: 29,420 $.
- Upper Svaneti Local Action Group (LAG) – raising awareness of road safety issues in the municipality of Mestia and to advocate for safer road infrastructure in this highland area. Project duration: 2 September, 2024 – 2 September, 2025. Project budget: 26,690 $.
- Families against Discrimination. – protecting the basic rights of adults with autism by strengthening parent organizations and advocating for the continuous provision of necessary professional re/habilitation services to adults with autism. Project duration: 2 September, 2024 – 2 July, 2025. Project budget: 30,000 $.
- Municipal Democracy Development Center– monitoring effectiveness of the state program on promotion of employment of socially vulnerable groups. The project will focus on five municipalities – Rustavi, Gori, Kharagauli, Ozurgeti, and Ninotsminda. Project duration: 2 September, 2024 – 2 July, 2025. Project budget: 29,980 $.
- GirlzWave – empowering women and youth in Georgia by increasing their visibility and engagement in civic and political arenas. Project duration: 3 September, 2024 – 3 September, 2025. Project budget: 26,070 $.
- The Documentary Association Georgia (DOCA) – using the medium of documentaries to engage citizens in discussing important societal issues. Project budget – $ 29,797. Project duration: 1 March 2024 – 28 February 2025.
- Urban Design and Heritage Laboratory – promoting sustainable urban development in Tbilisi. Project budget – $ 29,254; Project duration: 1 March – 31 December 2024.
Strategic Support and Policy Grants (SSPG) program
- Guild – advancing the protection of social and labor rights, with a particular focus on the arts and culture sector. Project duration: 15 May 2024 – 15 November 2025. Project budget: $ 76,124.
- Parents for Education –enhancing the governance of public schools and elevating the quality of school education in Georgia by empowering parents to participate in school decision-making processes. Project duration: 1 June 2024 – 30 September 2025. Project budget: $ 75,099.
