Completion of ACCESS Project

Dear Friends,

We’d like to inform you that the Advancing CSO Capacities and Engaging Society for Sustainability (ACCESS) Project implemented by the East-West Management Institute (EWMI) has come to an end. We are proud that over the past 7 years, we worked hard together with our partner organizations to strengthen the Georgian civil society and increase citizens’ role in it.

The ACCESS project started on October 31st, 2014, and ended on October 31st, 2021, having been funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). In total, the ACCESS project had a budget of 9,696,947 USD. We encourage you to visit the ACCESS official website and Facebook page for more in-depth information on the project activities.

Between 2014 and 2021, we supported formal civil society organizations (CSOs) to increase their capacities in influencing the political process and strengthened the voice and engagement of activists, informal civic groups and movements across the country. We tried to facilitate cooperation between CSOs and businesses and advance interests of the marginalized communities through flexible grant programs and projects designed with the co-creation approach.

Furthermore, the ACCESS project endeavored to cement trust in democratic institutions and facilitate public dialogue by supporting the Centers for Civic Engagement in 10 major Georgian cities.

These achievements wouldn’t have been possible without your feedback and cooperation. Thank you for supporting us during  these years. We would appreciate it if you share your final thoughts and comments about our project by filling out this form.

Best Wishes,
The ACCESS Team
