The USAID Civil Society Engagement Program conducted the Civic Activism in Georgia Mapping activity to identify new civic actors with potential and interest to grow, learn about their needs and challenges, and identify their shared goals and priorities.
In addition to mapping civic activists throughout the country, the Program also conducted 20 in-depth interviews with representatives of civil society organizations. Based on the findings of these and other surveys, the program intends to tailor its capacity-building interventions to equip new and existing civic actors and organizations with the skills they require, including community mobilization and engagement, volunteer cultivation and management, and advocacy.
