Tbilisi Night Owl Sessions with Professor Francis Fukuyama and Other Honorable Professors

On January 18-19, 2016, Stanford University professors Francis Fukuyama and Kathryn Stoner, Hon. David J. Kramer from McCain Institute for International Leadership, and Prof. Alan Trager from The Johns Hopkins University will engage in open debates over issues related to democratic development. Day 1 will be dedicated to good governance and accountability, checks and balances between the citizens and the government, and other related topics. The second day will focus on the role of strategic partnerships in democratic transitions, security and defense, Russia and its threat to the democratic development of frontline states, the war in the Ukraine, emergence and spread of the self-styled ISIS and its global and regional repercussions, value of strategic partnerships between countries for ensuring security.

Sessions will be held on January 18 and 19 at Rooms Hotel Tbilisi and last from 19:30 till 20:30. Attendance by invitations only.

The night owl sessions are being held in the frameworks of the Leadership Academy for Development program with financial support from EWMI ACCESS and other Donors.
