Technical/Creative Writing Consultant

The East-West Management Institute (EWMI) Advancing CSO Capacities and Engaging Society for Sustainability (ACCESS) Project is seeking a part-time Technical/Creative Writing Consultant to provide periodic writing and editing assistance to ACCESS.

Responsibilities:

In particular, the Consultant will be involved in:

** Developing the content of ACCESS` communication/outreach materials to increase the visibility and knowledge of its work, achievements, and impact (e.g. feature stories, op-ends, fact-sheets, success stories);
** Editing ACCESS monthly electronic newsletter in ENG (e.g. correcting grammatical errors, fixing writing style);
** Editing ACCESS website materials in ENG; and
** Other creative writing needs as deemed necessary during the engagement.

The Consultant will be expected to:

** Identify and research necessary story ideas with ACCESS` assistance
** Conduct interviews to produce such stories
** Travel to Georgia`s regions, when needed, to cover stories and events supported by ACCESS.

The Consultant will liaise with ACCESS` Outreach Specialist and Chief of Party.

This is a part-time, flexible, on-call position. ACCESS will agree the work schedule with the Consultant.

Requirements:

** Native-level fluency in English;
** Well proven and demonstrated capacity and experience in the field of creative writing and developing of highly engaging products;
** Experience in writing for news, from initial concept to finished product;
** Knowledge of civil society issues in Georgia (preferred);
** Experience and/or familiarity with USAID`s priorities and programs in Georgia (preferred).
