EWMI ACCESS supports Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) to evaluate government’s adherence to FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) and rules and regulations of proactive disclosure of public information during 2018. For this purpose, IDFI will analyze a) official statistics on the FOIA requests received and processed by the government; b) responses to IDFI’s FOIA requests to central and local government agencies, and c) governmental websites with regards to proactive disclosure regulations. The research reports will be published and distributed widely. Based on the research findings, IDFI will identify the most and least transparent government agencies and grant relevant certificates to them.
