COVID-19 Response Grants for Civic Activists and Citizen Groups

The East-West Management Institute (EWMI) Advancing CSO Capacities and Engaging Society for Sustainability (ACCESS) Project invites civic activists, citizen groups, and civic movements to apply for COVID-19 Response Grants to address the issues resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant program will support civic action to:

  • Minimize the spread of COVID-19 in Georgia;
  • Contribute to COVID-19 mitigation efforts;
  • Inform and support citizens in the vaccination process against COVID-19;
  • Provide critical support to disproportionately impacted and/or at-risk communities;
  • Amplify citizens’ voices in pandemic response;
  • Address other significant aspects of issues resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic as efficiently as possible.

EWMI ACCESS will review and award the COVID-19 Response Grants on a rolling basis,provided that funds are still available. The grant applications will be processed within 3 to 7 working days.

COVID-19 Response Grants are in-kind grants which means that all expenses related to the proposed activities will be covered directly by EWMI ACCESS.Applicants must submit a list of goods/services needed to implement their initiatives, costs by goods/services, and a list of vendors who can provide those goods/services.

The COVID-19 Response Grants program will not fund:

  • Ongoing projects/activities;
  • Direct service provision, including humanitarian assistance services;
  • Projects/activities that duplicate existing initiatives; or
  • Retrospective expenses.
